This book follows on from DL Smith's 'Tales of the G&SWR'. It is written in an easy style, the author having a deep affection for this, his local railway. He obviously counted a large number of the railway's employees amongst his friends and acquaintances. A book that will appeal to all enthusiasts of steam traction and railways 'how they used to be'. I have had my copy for many tears and it is still a book that can be returned to when at a loose end and a few paragraphs read and then put away for a few more months!
