Not as strong as volume 1 15 April 2001
By William Jones - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Some tracks stronger than others..."I Feel the Earth Move" could have been omitted, for example...contains the albums "No Way" and "What it Is", originally released on Prestige in 1970 and 1971...a young Grover Washington Jr. on tenor sax, Bernard Purdie on drums.

Buy this one too 17 Aug. 2004
By Ben Fernandez - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
If you liked the first "legends of acid jazz" cd, you will like this one as well. They are both great and contain some of Joe Jone's best playing. In my opinion, Boogaloo Joe Jones was the best of the funky jazz guitarists.

By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Anyone who likes groovey funky jazz should get this CD. I bought this CD and haven't taken it out of my stereo for weeks! This was the first Ivan "Boogaloo Joe" Jones album I bought but definately not the last. GOOD LISTENING! :-)
Boogie and funk 18 April 2015
By Simon - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
Well there is funk and there is funk. Boogaloo is a master at the genre with his phrasing and carefully tempered solo fills. Really is full of boogie.
