Another rare collection of underrated (and in some cases, unreleased) doo-wop and rare R&B from the 1950s. This collection of tunes from Johnny Otis' Dig label in Los Angeles has some good stuff thatnever became hits. "Crazy Little Beat" is a lot of fun, as well as the Coasters'-influenced "Eagle Eyed Willie" and the rocker "Treat Me Right," both by the Senders. "Don't Ever Leave Me" by Sugar Pie (DeSanto) and Pee-Wee is a lovely ballad that never saw the light of day. Fans of this will also enjoy "Miami Rockin' Doowop from the Chart Label."
