Everything in this book is simply common sense, I stupidly bought it in the third year of my degree thinking it would be useful but it basically just told me everything I already knew about primary and secondary sources, how to find and read cases etc. If you must buy it then do it in first year, it's the only time it will be of any use but really any good uni will teach you these things in first year anyway or the information can easily be found online for free.

This is a good resource text book. However there is so much info that it can be overwhelming.
It would be great if it had a couple of practice examples to help you hone your research methods espeically for the Westlaw and Legislation websites.
