After reading this book it inspired me to do some reasearch on the internet about ancient sites in my country (UK). I have purchased an Ordinance Survey map on my home county with the plan to visit some of the ancient monuments and medieval churches and find out for myself if the authors theories measure up. His website is a good read too.

Legacy of the Gods is an amazing book from the highly accomplished and informed Freddy Silva. This is one to read if you have a real desire and passion to know more about the subject of Ancient temples and sacred places and how and why they were built and how they are connected.Freddy is as an outright authority on the subject and has clearly spent years researching the content of the book first hand .His passion is undeniable. The book is extremely detailed and is not a 'pick up and put down' book, but for the serious student a comprehensive guide to the subject-I had to skip small sections as they were too detailed for me. I have read Freddys book 'Secrets in the Fields' about crop circles as I am very interested in the subject and it too is excellent, but again also extremely detailed, which can get a little too much for the average reader. However you cannot fault Freddy for wanting to give us all the facts and figures on the subject, it just shows he has been researching thoroughly and doing a great job! If more people wrote books after conducting this much research, there would not be so much rubbish around about such subjects. Thanks Freddy, you are a star!!

Silva has included all the right ingredients to cover this topic well, with insight and thought. There are a lot of dots to connect on this subject and he has kept the weight and detail about right to cover everything, while keeping momentum, which is not easy.

I learnt a few things and I have been keen on the subject for 25 years.

I also bought Silva's Templemaking DVD which I used to make a stone circle. The energetic field off it is impressive

Explore Sacred Places in Legacy of the Gods 12 Feb. 2012
By Sheri Newton - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Legacy of the Gods by Freddy Silva is an exceptionally great book about sacred sites and how they may be very different than you were originally taught about them (if at all) in school. This book helps you to discover what sacred places are, where they possibly came from, their power, and much more. Pick up this book and go on a journey from Stonehenge to Tibet and everywhere in-between.

Legacy of the Gods is one of the better books about the topic that I've come across. It is written and explained in easy to read and understand ways, and for visual people - it even includes pictures. I am a bit biased on this whole topic of ancient civilizations, sacred places, and the ancient alien theory though. I am an avid Coast to Coast listener and I've watched all of the Ancient Aliens episodes on the History channel.

Taking my personal thoughts about the topic into consideration though, I've read quite a few books about it. Silva does what few others have done with the topic in Legacy of the Gods and makes it quite relatable to the everyday person reading this book. Nothing covered is very complex, and he ties it all together to give you that "ah-ha" moment numerous times while reading the text.

The sacred locations covered include a large range of places you have probably heard of, such as Stonehenge, Teotihuacan, the pyramids and the Valley of the Kings, and many more. There are also numerous other locations that you will read about that you may have not heard of before. The pictures included in the book are in black and white, but if you want to investigate the locations further, just type in the names in Google and you can see better detailed pictures of the places that pique your interest in color. I have done this with a few of the locations and found remarkable pictures for them in under a minute and also more details about the locations as well. That is one of my favorite things about books such as this - they make you want to research and find out more about these marvelous places too. If I could, I would go to the locations myself for even more of the experience, but for now, I can just do it with more books and internet searches.

If you are a fan of Ancient Aliens on the History channel, this is a book that is a must read. If you aren't a fan, or perhaps never thought about ancient civilizations in this manner before, it could be something that would open your mind and at least challenge your old notions of the "truth" of things. I highly recommend it.

Poor paper quality 5 Dec. 2011
By Sveti - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I'm not reviewing the content here because that's exceptional. I just want to warn true book lovers about the poor, poor quality of the paper and consequently the photographs (and there are many!). It's worth paying extra $10 and purchasing this book from the author's web site because his edition is done on a high-quality paper.

Ancient Wisdom lost re-taught 24 Dec. 2013
By Andre Hodge - Published on Amazon.com

Being a younger person who love exploring consciousness and finding my own inner truth no doubt like you who have come across this book, I feel incredibly grateful to be alive at a time where there is technology at my finger tips to find our amazing teachers like Freddy Silva. Someone who has dedicated huge portions of their existence to serve others and synchronize a lot of things and put it on a plate of sorts to allow us to just spend a short while to our greater good. I love his work and this book (others are fantastic also). The importance of energy spots, the grid lines etc is critical to consciousness of each of us individually and as an aspect of the collective. Those who wish to explore this and it's lack of general awareness contributes to my understanding as to in part the reason why humanity is where it is at this time and the huge potential also. To me, this actually offers great hope. Bruce Cathie's book 'The Energy Grid: Harmonic 695: The Pulse of the Universe' would be another resource to qualify Freddie's work for those wanting to hear another teacher on this.

I have yet to explore many of these locations around the world but thank's to Freddy i have a map. He does offer tours of small groups to some of these locations which would be amazing so check out his website on this.

I personally love to hear the passion and wisdom of these teachers in their own words and found a great lecture of his on youtube using the words 'Freddy Silva prophets conference'. In this wonderful lecture you really get a tip of what this book offers. The thing that really triggered me was as a human with magnetite (if i remember correctly as it has been a while since watching) in our brains that by entering these, he talked about the possible effect on our consciousness awareness 'circuits' by walking though a sacred temple in Egypt that has very subtle positive and negative charges in the pillars which activate the magnetite to expand our consciousness. It just compounds that inner knowing of the amazing wisdom of the ancients and the naivety of where we are today.

I hope you find this helpful in your own exploration of consciousness. Thank you Freddy

Ancient Science and Philosophy Come Alive 18 Feb. 2013
By C. Sanders - Published on Amazon.com

I loved this book. The information in it is worthy of your time and investigation. Freddy Silva is opening an old window into the past, linking where we are in our evolutionary cycles to ancient philosophies, outlook and connection to nature. I will reread it again to garner the tons of information given throughout the chapters. I'd recommend it to any student of ancient history and explorer of spiritual realms.

Well written and researched 19 Dec. 2013
By Mary Lomando - Published on Amazon.com

This was a pleasure to read....informative, well researched, Mr. Silva did his homework. He sheds some new light on a familiar topic without resorting to outlandish claims and sci-fi mentality ( the ancient aliens explanation)which seems to be the popular trend with new age authors .
