The Left Behind books are brilliant, so I was a bit unsure about how they would tranlate to 'dramatic audio'. While this version could never quite match reading the book, the atmosphere and tension are all there - an excellent adaptation.The only reason I give it a rating of 4 instead of 5 is that there are irritating gaps. This version is a radio play, and has been aired on stations throughout the US, with adverts in these gaps. With these adverts removed, you end up with a dramatic development in the story, accompanied by appropriate music, a short gap, more dramatic music, and the story starting up again from the exact same spot. Some people could actually find this humorous; I admit that I cringed at the first break. Apart from this, If you've read the books, this is a great addition. If you're not into reading, this would be great buy. Also, it's on 4 CDs, which are packed to capacity with 3 episodes on each, so it's great value.

The fact that this nonsense is believed to be true by millions of Americans (including President Bush) wories and sickens me to the core.
Evangelical christianity seems to be some sort of apocalyptic death cult. Just watch the "jesus camp" documentary and see for yourself. Raise your consciousness people, this iron age mind-set has had its' day. Explore other sources for world information, not just your bible. Your brain is the most complex and highly evolved thing on Earth, use it.

My mother told me about the 'Left Behind' series, they sounded interesting so I borrowed the first book. I couldn't put it down! Within two weeks I read all 5 published books in the series and I cannot wait until the next one is released. It's a great story of what will happen to those who do not receive Christ as their savior before He returns to rapture His church. I recommend these books to everyone, even non-believers who don't fully get it - yet!
