About the Author
Keith Charters has lived all over the UK, and now lives near Glasgow. He studied at the University of Strathclyde and should have gained a first class honours degree, but missed out by half a percent, mainly because he was playing snooker when he should have been studying. (Let this be a lesson to all.) After graduating, Keith worked in various business management roles, ending up in London, where he headed up part of a big, rather strange, financial company in which staff got paid for shouting at their customers...and at each other. It was weird. At this point Keith started writing a lot. An awful lot. Soon writing was taking over his life. He decided that he wanted to play with words for the rest of his life, so he took a deep breath, gave up his proper job and began writing full-time. Lee and the Consul Mutantswas the first fruit of his labours. It took the no.1 spot in The Herald s Children s Bestsellers chart during 2006, with Lee Goes For Gold no.4 at the same time. Keith never looked back. Out came Lee s Holiday Showdown followed by Lee on the Dark Side of the Moon. However, you can read the Lee novels in any order you like. As well as writing, Keith now visits over 100 schools, libraries and book festivals each year and is renowned for his hilarious and energetic events.
