I have Lee's " Big " and " XL " DVD's and absolutely love him. I'd never seen Lee Evans live, so when he came to the BIC in Bournemouth in August 2011, I jumped at the chance of going. My god, the man has such energy and a zest for entertaining. I've never seen anything like it. He just doesn't stop. The gags come thick and fast, and he had everybody in stitches.
But you know what is the most endearing thing about Lee? He is so humble and down to earth, and always lets his audience know how much he appreciates them paying their money to go and see him. He is very grounded and you instantly get the fact that he's grafted hard to get where he is today.
One tip: If you go and see him live and are sat near the front, don't get up to go to the toilet half way through a joke cos he'll have you! He timed somebody who went to the loo during the Bournemouth gig and boy did he give him some stick when he came back. All in good fun of course... :)
Go and see him! And if you can't get there, buy the DVD. You will love it!
Keep going Lee, you're a one off gem and a British Institution in your own right...
