Purchased since i do a lot of dog-walking late at night in forests etc. I wanted a very bright lamp that had a long burn time and was still relatively portable. This product has fulfilled this task admirably. It is very bright and robustly constructed. I would also like to compliment the vendor for excellent, prompt delivery and would definitely recommend.
There are some comments however. The manufacturer states that the use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended, since it can cause the LED elements to overheat. LED's are current driven devices and despite the lower voltage of rechargeable cells, their very low internal resistance can cause higher currents if there is no regulation to limit this. This torch appears to be unregulated, which also means that the brilliance fades gradually. I estimate that using quality alkaline cells, the brilliance faded to the point where it was equivalent to a 200 lumen torch after about 5 hours of use on full power. That's not bad really.....
If you do want a rechargeable option that is designed as such by the manufacturer then LED Lenser has a version of this called the X21R, but its expensive!
