About the Author
Nicola Morgan studied classics and philosophy at Cambridge University before going on to become a teacher herself, specializing in literacy. Her novel "Fleshmarket" won a Scottish Arts Council Award. Nicola lives near Edinburgh in a house surrounded by woods.

This book is a must for anyone thinking of or actually leaving home. It has great info on anything from washing powder to how to buy home insurance. It's brilliantly useful especially if you are a bit nervous about setting out on your own and great to refer to when you need a bit of help and don't want to go running back to your parents!

This book has been extremely useful to me - it's full of great advice for anyone who is leaving home (and even those who have already left home!) and with personal experiences from Nicola Morgan herself, this book has been very well written and is easy to follow. I am soon to leave home for the first time in a few weeks so this has been THE book for me! It really is a survival guide!
