This little gem was a real surprise. It's an intelligent, absorbing read with lots of humour. Bart Yates is excellent at creating believable characters and realistic dialogue. Leave Myself Behind is a rare treat - a good story with likeable characters which I found it difficult to put down.

Leave Myself Behind is a brilliant book. Bart Yates has not only created a world, he has peopled it with fascinating, flawed and absorbing characters. If you're expecting your standard gay fiction book, look out. You will laugh, you will cry, you will not be able to put it down. It has mystery, sex, comedy, and tragedy. Once you've read it, it sticks in your head for weeks.

I started this book on a train journey for a few das away, and as soon as i got to my hotel, i had to continue and finish it, all in the same day.
It is so rare to have such a decent and sweet story for a gay fiction book.

Gay romance with a twist
