Really wanted a cool case for my cool G11, and thought this one looked best. It's obviously a cheaper version of the Canon one, which is considerably more, and I have to say with this in mind it's brilliant. Being brutally honest, you can tell that it's not an official product, as some of the edging is slightly messy, and the outer cover is just slightly sagging on one side, but these are minor criticisms.
Overall, it looks cool, protects the whole camera, and allows for the official strap to be used, and also comes with another strap in the same brown leather. It even smells cool.

The case is well made, good looking and easy to use. I would have preferred a slightly longer strap, but that is nit-picking. I can recommend this case to anyone who would prefer to have quick access to their camera rather than carrying it in a bag.

I bought this case to protect my G12 during a six week trip around South America, but it began to fall apart after a few days!
While the padded circle protecting the lens remained intact - and, as a whole, the main body of the case stayed in shape, in turn giving the camera decent protection - the 'piping' around the edges of the fake leather began to peel away after a day or two, and the brown material became stained and tatty looking when it came into contact with the smallest drop of sunscreen.
As a cheap way to protect your G12, this case isn't bad. But if you're buying this because you think the case looks cool or retro, don't be disappointed when it starts to fall apart after a few days of intensive use!

Not real leather but works for G10-12.
Bought this for my mum's new Canon G12. It fits ok and has a nice retro look to it but I'm sorry to say that this case is very definitely not made of leather. Read more
