4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable - yet trashy - read..., 6 Feb 2009
By SheffNick1967 (Sheffield, UK) - See all my reviews
Good bedtime reading - though probably not that nostalgic for many,as the comics chosen here are pretty obscure. But that's the whole point: the author's done a good trawl and found some of the most unlikely stuff you'd ever expect to find in a comic, and presented it all in bite-size chunks. Enjoy!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for prolonged pleasure, 18 Oct 2009

(TOP 1000 REVIEWER)    (REAL NAME)
I was bought this as a Christmas present last year. It's intriguing on the first few reads but once you've been shown the front covers of some damn wierd comics... and nothing of the inside contents... what is there else to get from it? The only thing I got was an intro to Steve Ditko's "Mr A" who must have been the inspiration for Rorschach in "Watchmen" with his blinkered White/Black view of human behaviour.

Yes, read it, but get someone else to pay for it.
