Synopsis

In a format usually reserved for upright cards, Joan Bunning describes every reversed card in a tarot deck - with a brief description of the upright meaning, and more detail about the reversed meaning. She presents lessons that build on each other smoothly, allowing the student to progress to increasingly complex readings and understanding with ease. She also includes a handy section of keywords for easy reference.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awareness Through The Tarot 2 Jan 2004
By Robin A. Duquette - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Learning Tarot Reversals is easy and fun with Joan Bunning's lesson and exercise oriented approach.

Joan explains how archetypal (life) energies are represented in the cards (both upright and reversed) and how reversals reveal energy levels that gather and dissipate in cycles and patterns.

Complete with illustrations, diagrams, written exercises and hands on practice with the cards, Joan teaches us to see how these energies in their various forms, are presented in reversed cards.

Both beginning and more experienced tarot readers and instructors, will find Learning Tarot Reversals to be yet another dimension in tarot practice and a deeper more detailed journey into self-discovery through the Tarot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent learning tool 1 May 2008
By Elena - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is an excellent learning tool that helps you to understand tarot rather than simply memorizing the meanings. By understanding tarot and feeling energies of each card you can actually interpret the cards.

The book talks a lot about the tarot in terms of energy and explains how the energy changes if the card is reversed. It consists of 8 lessons, each lesson having a couple of pretty neat exercises on how to interpret the meanings and energies of tarot. Also it has a list of all 78 cards with a brief explanation. In addition to it, at the end of the book there are answers to the exercises.

So far it has been one of the best tarot books I've ever bought.
