Product Description

In this inspirational book, the voices of over 250 of Scotland's young people express their visions and hopes for the future. They believe that 'another world is possible', that the future does not need to be like the past, and that they have a vital role in shaping a more trusting, creative, responsible and sustainable world. They write movingly about people who have inspired them, whether they are world figures or family members, and set out their own views about the values and qualities we need to lead a happy and successful life. Drawing on the practical wisdom of both past and present expressed in proverbs, quotations and stories from around the world, they relatethese to their own life expereinces, describing incidents that have transformed their understanding of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely book, 5 May 2008
This review is from: Learning for Life: From Inspiration to Aspiration (Paperback)
I found so many inspirational lines to reflect on. It is very cheering to read the considered thoughts and opinions of so many young people in Scotland. Good to dip into for a variety of things, both educational and personal. I liked its range of material, through Christian, Buddhist, Native American and pop/rock world themes. The young people's references to their families and friends were particularly appealing. I loved the cover pictures, too.
