Good for learning.,

Bought this for my grandchildren and they love it. The sticker Book is a big incentive and keeps them at it. The seven year old was struggling at school and working through the maths and English, with some help, gave him a lot of confidence. The younger two join in, and also do the lower level, and it becomes a joint exercise. All good stuff.

Fantastic CD-Rom for Children,

Both our children (aged 4 and 6) really enjoy playing the games on this Cd-rom. The disk has two sections, one for games like painting and one for maths, English and Science all of which reflect the National Curriculum sylabus. I would highly recommend this Cd-rom. We home school both our kids and I would recommend this to other home school families as well- it backs up what we do in the subjects nicely (both of my two have just finished the year 1 syllabus of the National Curriculum.)

Doesn't keep a child's attention,

I took a chance on ordering this product for my bright 5 year old daughter after reading some of the reviews. I have older children aged 12 and 13 for whom I also bought such products at around the same age.
It was disappointing to find that over the past 8 years, this software has improved little. The graphics are basic and the games and activities in this program unimaginative. Changing from one activity to another in the program is also not straightforward especially for a 5 year old. There is no kind of progression to the activities and my 5 year old soon lost interest after a few days. The whole point in having such software is that the audio-visual interaction possible with a computer goes further than is possible with books alone. This software clearly failed to live up to that potential. There must be better software around.
