My son is 27 months old and LOVES Chuggington. We bought 2 packs of this for him for Christmas and it made his day!! We have managed to use ALL the bits from both packs to make some big and amazing track outlines!
The track itself is soft plastic so can lok a bit cheap, but because it is soft, it is very durable, and he can break it apart and fix the track together (with a little help).

I bought this track for my 3 1/2 year old. He cried and cried as he couldn't put it together on its own and it's not possible to use all the pieces in one box to form a single track that connects up (into some sort of circle) due to the make-up of the ends and shapes of the pieces of track. In the end I bought another box so we could at least make a sensible sized track and I've hidden the pieces which are superfluous.
Ultimately though it's very frustrating as it's too hard (fiddly and stiff) for him to make the track on it's own so it's seldom played with. He's resorted happily back to his brio / tesco track.
We also had a couple of the chuggington trains but he's managed to break the couplings. He was a little rough with them - but most 3 1/2 year old boys I know are quite rough with their toys!

Bought this to add to the starter set which is abit small so it makes nice extensions. A bit tricky to first put together each track but when you learn how to not too difficult. My 3 1/2 year old girl is enjoying it and learning how to put together the tracks without too much difficulty. Quite durable and bought because the reviews on the interactive track are not good and wanted something that will last.
