A stiff but flexible hollow cube, made from brightly coloured cloth sporting modern and stimulating geometric designs, makes up the body of the toy. A differently shaped hole in each side (one with a covering flap secured with velcro) allows the four soft shapes to be "posted" into the cube. The shapes, two of which contain a rattle, one a squeak and the last a rustle, are also made of soft, bright materials with varying textures and monochromatic, geometric stripes, squares and dots.
Babies from six months old will love this toy, if only for the visual stimulation and textural differentiation it encourages. As the baby grows, it will begin to grasp the concept of shapes, and cause and effect (post the shape and it goes into the cube; pick the wrong hole and the shape gets stuck) intended in the design.
A lovely toy that is well designed and of superb quality. Not only will this withstand many hours of heavy use, it will also go in the washing machine when that use makes it too dirty to suck! --Lucie Naylor
A full, colour instruction leaflet is included with this toy.
