I usually love the Learning About books from Dover, but this one wasn't quite as diverse as the others. (We have well over two dozen at this point.) I was disappointed with some of the selections.

I was impressed that they had both a Spirit Bear and a Polar Bear because most people think all white bears are polar bears; this way, I can teach the difference to my son.

The bears include eight species, and four sub-species: Spirit Bear, Glacier Bear, Spectacled Bear, Sun Bear, Grizzly Bear, Sloth Bear, Asian Black Bear, Cinnamon Bear, Kodiak Bear, Polar Bear, Panda Bear, and American Black Bear.

Another good book from this series is Learning About Forest Animals (Learning about Books (Dover)).
