This book is brilliant. I had tried watching lots of youtube videos, and whilst they were good to a point, I could never get the elusive 'stitch transfer' to happen. Frustrated but determined I decided to buy this - and I am so glad I did!

By itself, the book doesn't look much as there seems to be a lot of detail missing. Pop in the accompanying DVD and all those bits that looked vague and had me confused suddenly start making sense and within minutes I was doing the stitch transfer and banging out double stitches no problem. The DVD is amazingly well done - slow motion demonstrations, demonstrations done with shuttle only and no thread so you can see exactly where your shuttle should be, scenes that are frozen at the key points for you to carefully look at and compare your own work. This DVD has it all!! Now include a well paced narrative that is a little on the slower side so you can keep up easily and presentation that is clear and unfussy and you will be good to go before you know it.

Now back to the book that at first seemed vague and basic. It's now become just as good as the DVD! The author has kindly included more than 50 colour photographs, given a handy reference point at the beginning of the book defining abbreviations, has both written the patterns and included very useful diagrams to show what shapes we are working towards. The patterns included are useful (bookmark, tablerunner, decorative pieces) and excellent examples to get your tatting up to speed.

I have had the book a week and already I am reversing work and using two threads at once. If you've been interested in tatting but struggled to get the hang of it, then this is the book for you.

This book is what I expected to be. It shows step by step and clear instructions of tatting. However the dvd is a necessity, without it, the book is merely a reminder of how to do things. But in later stages of learning it is enough to rely on the book.

As soon as I received this book, I learnt so much the interactive DVD is great. I had just started tatting and wasn't managing the flip, as soon as I saw it demonstrated I knew where I was going wrong. Excellent book and DVD.

This book is brilliant. Learn to Tat [With Interactive DVD]I'd never done tatting before, but once I'd started watching the dvd, I was really into it. The book is lovely and along with the dvd it's so easy to refer back. I would recommend this item for absolute beginners, like me.

Very clear and easy to follow instructions, the DVD had me creating double stiches within 10 minutes. The projects in the book are graded well in order of difficulty.

No left-handed instructions, but I followed the advice on the DVD to tat right-handed (as the tension is controlled by the left hand anyway) and found it easy.

this tatting book is really good. I have learnt to do the stitch and hold the shuttle correctly. Having the DVD included as well it is very instructive. I would reccommend this book to anyone who wishes to learn tatting.

Loving this book, and DVD, they are both very clear, I have been Tatting for a while, but took a break as I didn't know how to perfom "knotless" tatting, what to do with the ends, at the beginning and finish of work.
This wonderful DVD has shown me how to complete my Tatting and it now looks seemless.
Wish this book/DVD had been available (DVD Invented) when I started Tatting, I highly recomend this super product.
Big Love
