Probably the easiest way to play correctly some great Rolling stones songs.
Satisfaction is the single version of 1965.
Jumpin jack flash with a strange tuning, sounds perfectly like on the single version, perfect.
Both guitar parts are here, and well explained.
Honky tonk woman of course in open G.
Angie I found a wee bit short.
Brown sugar simple.
Wish they'd made some other stones learn to play

As a guitarist in a weekend rock covers band, we play some of these Stones tunes on a regular basis, but somehow I could never get them to sound just right. You could say my playing was more Wendy Richards than Keith Richards. :-)

Well not anymore. This DVD reveals the secrets of how Keith played some of those great riffs and, by and large, the secret is in the tuning.

Everything is explained simply and thoroughly here by guitar maestro Mike Casswell (I can thoroughly recommend all of the DVDs that Mike teaches on, especially the Queen ones - he should know having toured with the great Mr May himself!) who demonstrates most of the tunes on a particularly fetching sparkly gold Telecaster.

If you're a complete beginner that has no idea of string names or chord positions, you may struggle a little here, but for anyone half familiar with a guitar that can play a few barre chords, I can guarantee this dvd will make you son of "Keef" in no time! :-)

You can't beat a bit of Keef and this DVD nails it. Easy to follow and within no time at all that Stones sound that has eluded me for all those years is at your fingertips! It's all down to open turnings that I've always avoided like the plague. I couldn't believe how easy these songs are to learn. I'd advise getting the cd too (this is the downside, you need it to jam along with properly and this is not made clear when you purchase any dvd's from this series) Don't let this put you off though, believe me you'd spend a lot more learning with a private tutor.
