Darius is the first African-American to top the country charts since Charlie Pride did it over 20 years ago.
`Learn To Live' is a great album. Difficult to select a favourite track as I like them all.
"All I Want" He tells her `You were my world, but now it's over you can take the house, the money, the Cadillac, the diamond ring, the shoes you said you couldn't live without, because "All I Want" now is some peace and quiet, just leave me alone'. A fun song, plus Brad Paisley on guitar.
"Don't Think I Don't Think About It" Tells the tale of him leaving in a cloud of dust and deciding that this time he is not going to turn around and go back to her. He realizes that we all make choices we have to learn to live with, but often regret our actions. Later she marries, he wonders if he ever crosses HER mind.
It made No.1 in Country Charts.
Another song to enter the charts, tells the story of a couple bringing their newborn baby home but the first week the baby cries all night. His wife assures him "It Won't Be Like This For Long". Four years later he takes his little girl to school for the first time, she clings to him and cries, but teacher says that she will soon settle in, and it won't be like this for long. Too soon she is a teenager, years pass and he walks her down the aisle, he realizes he must cherish every moment as "It Won't Be Like This For Long". A tear jerker for everyone with a daughter.
A fine album with excellent musical backing. Darius does justice to every song.
