Product Description

Review

You may never have dreamed of knitting without needles before, but if you're game for trying something new then you should have a go at knitting on long looms. It's a technique that's easy to pick up and allows you to produce double knit fabric. This use of the term 'double knit' isn't referring to the type of yarn, but rather a style of knitting where both sides of the fabric are knit stitches. It's one way of creating garments that are extra warm, and gives you more options for surface texture and two-colour work. The designs in this book include easy coasters, scarves and slippers, as well as a more engaging arrowhead double knit scarf and pair of moccasins.-Knit Today

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book 8 Mar 2011
By Spud
Format:Paperback
I bought this as a present for my Mum and she says it is a good book that covers a wide range of projects but also teaches you how to use a knitting loom in the first place. It is also inspirational in so much that some of the projects can be adapted to your own taste and design.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOOM KNITTING 27 Sep 2011
Format:Paperback
Great little book, good price and will be really useful as you learn to use the loom. Brought a plastic loom at the same time as I did not want to go the expense of a wooden loom until I was happy I would use it. Good buy overall.

3.0 out of 5 stars looms long 31 Jan 2013

This book is okay, it does have good pictures to show how to use your loom, I was just a little disappointed that it didn't have many different patterns, it is all scarves apart from a couple of other patterns. How many scarves does one want to make for their self.

My neice and I are enjoying this book. She is 9 and lost interest in knitting with conventional kneedles. However this book and the brightly coloured ooms have sparked her interest.

I bought this for my niece with a circular loom set. I don't know if it was too difficult but my daughter was confused by it too. They both gave up and my daughter taught my niece instead.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good basic long loom patterns but not big on teaching
There actually isn't a lot of teaching in this book. It's very sparse on learning as the 'instructions' consist only of demonstrating the z-wrap and three stocking knit stitches. Read more
