Product Description

CD Description

Prelude is defined as 'an introductory performance, event or action preceding a more important one.' However, in this case Prelude means three talented young women with a heart to reach the world with a message of hope, grace and love. Prelude is comprised of Kara Tualatai, Rachel Hockett and Amanda Omartian. Each of these women hails from strong Christian music heritage and has accomplished much on their own as well. Kara is a recognised artist with an established track record while Rachel has been singing since she was nine years old with her mother and father, Billy and Sarah Gaines. Amanda is the daughter of music producer icon Michael Omartian and noted author and speaker Stormie Omartian. Together they have a vocal blend that is unmatched. It's very easy to reference Prelude to other groups such as Point Of Grace and Avalon; however, the reference will also be made to Destiny's Child and Alicia Keys. Their first project, 'Learn To Fly' includes songs that uplift listeners as they walk out their faith on a daily basis. The title track is meant to encourage all to soar to new heights during trials, while the real issue of worldly envy is dealt with in 'Green'. 'You Call Me Yours' speaks mainly to women and shows them that they are exactly the way God has made them, and that He loves them and cares for them. The girls of Prelude round out their repertoire with their own rendition of the Beatles' tune, 'We Can Work It Out'.

Don't let the cover fool you! 29 Aug 2007
By L. Bobbitt - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I went looking for this CD because I had heard and fell in love with the songs "You Call Me Yours" & "Transform Me". When I found it I couldn't believe the cover - dorky and 50's looking. But I didn't let that stop me, and you shouldn't either! This is a great group of ladies who sing tight 3 part harmony, and sound similar to Point of Grace. "You Call Me Yours" will transport you to the heavenly choir worshipping around the throne. It alone is worth more than the price of the entire CD, but there's much more. These ladies will go far! They just need a new art designer for their album covers!!

Learning to Fly . . .will soon soar! 7 July 2007
By M. D. Watkins - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
These three ladies are unique, but when they come together they have a sassy classy style that will appeal to many listeners, especially young ladies. I say this is a great album to listen to while your driving and running errands. The music is great and the re-makes 'We Can Work it Out' and 'Thank You' are good and not to over bearing.

Expect great things from these young ladies. A great add to any contempo gospel collection!
