In Volume III, of The Only Way to Learn Astrology Series, Horoscope Analysis, the text is broken into three parts:
Part I - discusses house rulers and begins each segment with a brief outline of what an astrology house symbolizes and then, in cookbook fashion, outlines what it means to find a house ruler located in a certain house. For instance, you will read about what it means to have the ruler of your third house occupying the seventh house and so on. Add it all up, and this means the authors have outlined 144 possible chart positions for you to review when you want to know what it means to have a ruler of any of the 12 houses occupying any of the 12 houses.
In Part II - The authors write in-depth chart delineations for General George Patton, Earnest Hemingway, Princess Diana and Barbara Streisand. This is one of my favorites methods for teaching basic chart readings because you get to see the culmination of all your studies brought together and executed in a actual chart reading. So you can get a sense of how a chart reading is done. The authors employ the techniques they taught in Volumes I - III, and you can see how these techniques are actually used in practice.
Part III - This section reviews what the authors call "Delineating for a Purpose" and here you will learn about the subtle things a chart describes, such as: physical health and appearances; a brief but well-done intro to one-to-one, conjugal, child, filial, friendship, consanguineous and parental relationships; and then the text concludes with a look at vocational aptitudes.
All things considered, there is quite a bit of information packed into their small and handy reference book. It is a lucid introductory text, which ranks as one of my favorites, and I used it to learn astrology over 35 years ago. It still stands strong today and is good guide.
