You get two credit card sized card with a number that let you and your child choose and download a leaplet app on to your child's leapster explorer. They are the same as the one you get with the explorer. My 4 year old choose has chosen two games so far and has loves them both; the hard part is to get him to stop playing even though he has completed them both, several times over.
As with the cartridges they are over packaged so don't be surprised by the almost empty box.

I have purchased the Leaplet download card for my daughers leaspter explorer after using one which was included with the purchase of the console. There are a number of applications that are available for download and it makes it nice to be able to use the console without any additional games - usefull when traveling. I have already purchased another set as there are more apps we would like to download. It's a great educational product and I would recomend it to any parent of a small child.

These cards allow you to buy leaplets (apps) to download straight to your Explorer system. It's great that they have games to play without even having to put a cartridge in, and the games I've seen are pretty good value. They are never going to get as much out of them as a full cartridge game, but they do work out a lot cheaper.
Each leaplet so far only uses 1 code (this pack contains 2), and there are e-books, games and flash cards to choose from.
A great idea with lots of potential.
