I find this game more than a bit repetitive, thus the low rating. The object of the game is to blast the numbered rocks and collect space gems with your spaceship by moving left or right with the help of the arrow keys and firing shots with the A button on your Leapster. There are three age-appropriate levels: Level 1 (ages 4-5), Level 2 (ages 5-6) an Level 3 (ages 6-7). The tasks range from simple number recognition for younger children to more complex addition and subtraction problems for older children. If you get the answer right, the rocks in the first row turn to space gems and you quickly have to fire as many as you can before time runs out. If you get the answer wrong, you lose your spaceship. You have three chances per game. There's also the added obstacle of falling debris to avoid. There's a Hall of Fame which keeps track of the three highest scores.

My only criticism of this game is that you don't get much for your money. While other games like Noddy and Thomas offer a range of activities, this game has only this one activity, which makes it very repetitive after a while and poor value for money. We bought ours off an auction site (wink) for �4.99 and it's worth about that much, but I wouldn't be happy to pay more than that for this sort of game.

Another thing I've noticed is that amidst the sound effects of blasting rocks, the voice instructions are barely audible, and you can easily miss your next task. If this happens, you have to press the B button for the instructions to be repeated, otherwise you won't know which rocks to blast next!

Bottom line, a good basic game, but nothing fancy. Definitely, not worth the RRP, but if you can get it cheaper, go for it!
