Bright, strong and practical, the My First LeapPad Backpack is perfect for storing My First LeapPad and all the interactive books. With a blue body, yellow piping, red sides and green straps and zip, the bag is bright and made from sturdy, washable nylon. Undo the two-pull zip, and you find a handy "envelope" pocket to store books, complete with a net pocket for cartridges. Additional pockets on the opposite side allow for a large book collection, and the whole splits right open in two halves, allowing for ease of access. The bag measures roughly 35 cm (13.5 ins) x 23 cm (9 ins) at its widest, and is therefore manageable for 3-4 year olds, even if loaded. The bag is finished off with the LeapFrog logo and "My First LeapPad Learning System" written on the front. A great, practical and high-quality bag that is perfect for storing My First LeapPad or any other kiddies' supplies. --Lucie Naylor

My First LeapPad BackPack was designed to perfection! It is so useful (and so cheap) I'm surprised the LeapPad toy does not come with one of these in the first place.
I would definitely recommend anyone who owns a My First LeapPad machine to get one of these. Not only does it protect the cartridges from being damaged when not in use it also keeps the books tidy so there's no risk of them getting ripped or bent (or left at the mercy of my 11 month old baby!). Also you have peace of mind that the books and cartridges are not going to get separated and 'lost' in toyboxes cupboards and drawers.
The backpack itself is well made, unlike some where you have to be careful with the zip or flimsy fabric, it is made of a bright thick material and slightly padded to provide extra protection for the contents. My little girl is not particularly careful or delicate but I'm quite sure this backpack can withstand the rough treatment of my three year old daughter!
It's bright colours make it appealing to a toddler (and difficult to lose!). If I have one criticism it would be that it is possibly a little heavy for a three year old to carry very far as a backpack - so it's more useful for storage than carrying - but it can be carried quite easily to the backseat of the car for long journeys to keep little hands amused and everything tidy!

Very durable and well padded. It's only been designed for an additional three books and carts though.
I have managed to store more than double that amount by placing two books and carts in each of the designed pockets as well as leaving a book and cart in the LeapPad itself you can easily carry a total of seven books and carts around safely to protect them. I don't think toys get used nearly as much when they get separated. You could if you wanted carry more books in it if you placed them freely within, it is big enough.
It is a little on the large size for a toddler to carry but as I said a must to keep your books and cartridges together for the storage alone!

VERY GOOD FOR THE MONEY AND HANDY TO TAKE IF GOING ON HOLIDAYS AND KEEPS THE LEAP-PAD IN GOOD CONDITION AND TAPES WHILE NOT IN USE.I DO RECOMMEND PEOPLE IF THEY ARE BUYING THE LEAP-PAD TO BUY THE BACKPACK TO.
