Leapster2 - The Princess and the Frog Game

My daughter loves the new Disney movie 'The Princess and the Frog' so much that I bought the cartridge game for her as a surprise gift. She absolutely adores the game! It manages to combine scenes from the movie with an educational element. My four year old particularly enjoys the cooking lessons and getting Princess Tianna ready for the Grand Ball. My only gripe is the cost of the cartridge game - at almost £19, it's not cheap. In saying that, all-in-all, both my daughter and I are happy with the game.

Not very educational 11 Jan 2011

Although my 3yr old daughter absolutely loved it, the games are not very educational. She did play it alot, mainly the cooking game, but it failed to teach her anything. Entertaining for little girls but not very educational.

Fun for all. 29 Jan 2010

We got this game for my 6 year old daughter. It is now the favorite game for all of us, my 6 year old, 5 year old, and 2.5 year old included. There is a fun cooking game where you chop and add ingredients into the gumbo soup. It is fun to use the pen, and the girls have such a great time with it. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

WAY TOO EASY 1 Jan 2010

I bought this game for my 4 yr. old daughter for Christmas. It is her 7th cartrdge. I was terribly disappointed in how easy it is. Even set to level 3 "challenging". One of the games requires the lightning bug to catch the bubble which fills in the first letter to spell three letter words. Problem: you don't even have to move the bug. All of the right answer bubbles are in the middle and his is bound to bump into one without even touching the controls. Can you say BORING?! She can play this game in her sleep. When it is this easy, it can't be classified as educational.

Cute Toy, Nice Sound/Graphics, Fun 12 Dec 2010
By SmartMomma - Published on Amazon.com

My 5 1/2 yr old just got this as an early Christmas gift from her grandparents, so she just played with it this morning and already we can't get it away from her. She loves it. I do wish it was a little more challenging, it says age 4-7; I'm not so sure what 7 yr old would find this entertaining, but my 5 yr old does, so I guess that is what matters. The graphics and voices are just as in the movie; the games are fun, love the gumbo recipe game. Overall, it is probably one of the best of the 5 leapster games we now have. There is one game where you help Ray the firefly; and if you saw the movie, you saw him die at the end...so when my daughter saw him in this game her face lit up and said see, he really didn't die, it was just pretend in the movie ;)
