5.0 out of 5 stars Leapster L Max, 27 Mar 2006
Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
Definately the best present I bought my daughter for christmas. Keeps my 5 year old entertained for hours . both at home and in the car . Also handy for her at tedious outings. The Free rabbit game is highly addictive and very easy to use. The game itself is educational and encourages learning of english , words and simple numbers . You can choose harder levels with increasing age. Collecting carrots for good achievement is the goal. The gadget itself is made for wee peoples hands - easy and comfortable to use and light to carry. Would recommend it 100% to all 5-6 years olds who are too young for the play station but intrigued by games and into learning. Great present and lots of different sofware options you can buy. Can alos be plugged into the television to be played on the big screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best toy I bought yet!, 26 Sep 2006
By Monica Borg (Malta) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought the l-max for my 3 year old son on his third birthday and I was amazed how quickly he managed to work out the games. We have since been building up his game collection and other then keeping him occupied for hours he had been learning a lot from it! I love the way some of the games continue the job started by the leapfrog DVD's 'Letter Factory', 'Talking words factory'etc. The L-max has been the toy we carry around with us for over a year now. It is also built to be very tough. I would recommend it to anyone with children from pre school age.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leapster L Max, 29 Jan 2007
By Forever a mum "mich" (Hampshire, England) - See all my reviews
Bought this for my son for christmas and he hasnt put it down.used the batteries in just 2 days so i do advise using either rechargable ones or the leapster recharge pack.
Good built in games including a brill colouring and drawing one.
All other games he has are also very playable.Be sure to use the age range guide on the box as some that they would like because of the charactors on them are too old and too hard for them to understand.
I have however found it difficult to find certain games (L Max) as some stores like woolworths are actually stating they are deleting the games.Which i wasnt too happy about since ive only just bought it.However just normal leapster games are useable also on the L Max.

Great at keeping them occupied on car journeys also.
