The Learning Table consists of a table top with four detachable legs, enabling it to be used as a free-standing play table or be placed on a table or the floor. It has two volume settings and shuts off automatically after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Two programme modes are offered--Learn Mode and Music Modewhich are controllable by flipping the page in the centre book. Around the book are lights which twinkle to the music as well as six musical activity areas to press, slide, pull or tap: a set of three drums, a cello, a maraca, four piano keys, a banjo and a music box.
Learn Mode introduces colours, shapes, the numbers 1-10 and the alphabet in addition to concepts such as in/out, high/low, up/down and on/off. Music mode offers an impressive array of tunes. Spin the maraca to hear 13 jazzy tunes including favourites such as "Row Your Boat", "London Bridge" and "Frère Jacques" or strum the banjo for 14 familiar melodies such as "Jack and Jill" or "Alouette".
An especially nice feature of the Learning Table is that it plays real music, including four real piano chords, real cello sounds and the riffs of a jazz vocalist. This is a nice change from the electronic sounds of most toys.
Teaching aspects aside, the Learning Table appears to be just good fun, plain and simple. The seven-month-olds who tested this were, not surprisingly, most interested in licking and biting the table top but did giggle when their actions produced musical results.
It was the 2½ years olds who really went to town, pressing, spinning and tapping with abandon and joining in to sing the peppy ABC song. They also liked flipping the book page, not because they had any understanding of changing programme modes, but because they liked the chiming sound.
While the age guide of six-months-plus may be a bit early, there is certainly enough here to make the learning table a good toy for "growing" with a child, beginning with elementary concepts and progressing through to knowing and recognising the entire alphabet.
The legs are easy to attach and detach which means the table travels well but it can be a bit wobbly, so be careful. It requires 3 AA batteries (not included). --Ann Prahl
This interactive table is great for infants and toddlers. Toddlers will love standing or sitting around this colorful toy, and when you remove the legs of the table, infants will have a blast playing while they learn to sit up! With learn and music mode, there is so much to do. Learn mode introduces letters, numbers, shapes, colors, instrument sounds and more! Flip the center page to music mode and baby can make music, play songs, and hear instrument sounds!

Great,I bought this for my daughter who was 14 months old at the time. She loves it and everyday spends a bit of time playing with the different buttons.I actually bought it to encourage her to stand up and learn to walk around more. The table unfortunately is a bit too low for my liking and my daughter spends most time now kneeling in front of the table instead of standing at it.She is a bit taller for her age than most toddlers but I feel this will apply to all kids. Its a fantastic toy that your kids will love and learn with,I'd personally just appreciate it if the legs were adjustable in height.

We bought this for our 6 month old daughter. She loved it and it encouraged her to pull herself up and to stand. She is now 11 months old and still loves cruising round it. There are a few activity areas so she has a new favorite area every few weeks - first it was the keyboard, then the little lid which sang to her. Her current favourite is turning the "page" to change the toy from alphabet and numbers mode to song-time. A 2 year old comes to play occasionally and it is a hit for her too, so I am sure that we will be happy with this toy for some time to come. One odd thing - the voice is an American one, but it says "z" the British way.

I bought this after reading the reviews and was surprised on how easy it was to put together, i managed it without hubby's help!It took longer to get it out of the box then put it together as it is very well strapped in with those annoying twisty cables. Once together all three of my children who are aged 9 months, 2 and 3 all ran to it and played with it for hours and to be honest my 3 year old had the most fun. Good clear sounds and music, the box in the middle only has one page to turn not several as it looks in the picture, it also has fantastic lights which flash when buttons are pressed and i find if you do this in the dark the kids love it even more. I would just like to say that a previous reviewer stated that the purple flap keeps coming off - this is 100% correct, this flap is needed for the toy to say 'open' & 'closed' so without the flap this section will not work, as i type this mine has gone AWOL but i am sure it will turn up again as it usually does! Finally would i recommend this - YES i would.
