Dull and confusing for a 3 year old
on 23 January 2011
My son was given this for Christmas to go with the Tag he also recieved as a new gift. The Tag has taken a while for him to get to grips with, but now he completely loves it. This book, however stays in the carry case as he finds it uninteresting and can't relate to the words or sounds. As another reviewer mentioned it doesn't use phonics, which is curriculum learning, so he finds it confusing. The animals and instruments used in are very obscure (dingo's digeridoo, baboon's bassoon, yak's yodel)which means my son can't relate to it at all. I appreciate it must be hard to come up with alphabeticalised animals and instruments but perhaps they should have given up when they struggled with A: armadillo's accordian!
