Product Description

Product Description

Join Scooby-doo and the Mystery, Inc. gang on their mission to capture the pirate ghost and seas monster who are terrorizing San Francisco! Solve more than 50 logic and reasoning puzzles while exploring nutrition and food facts. Uncover clues and explore multiple mystery endings and use logic and reasoning skills to figure out fun puzzles, in this game for Leapster Explorer and LeapPad Explorer.

Help Scooby-Doo’s pals find clues to solve the mystery and keep notes on suspicious characters in your detective journal to help catch the criminal. Then after solving logic quests, splat monsters with pies to help Scooby Doo escape danger. As you play, you can earn badges for your achievements which can then be converted into LeapWorld tokens where you can customise your Scooby-doo game with micromods like new puzzle designs, music, ghosts for the mini-game and silly monster voices. These tokens can also be redeemed in LeapWorld to play additional learning games, preview new video game trailers, create your own LeapWorld character or build a home.

With Leapster and LeapPad Explorer the game dynamically adjusts the curriculum to the player's skill level so it's not too easy and not too hard.

I bought this for my five year old daughter for her fifth birthday last month.

She is really into Scooby Doo at the moment, loves watching all versions of it, from the early stuff right through to Mystery Incorporated that is being shown today.

Like most five year olds, its difficult to really get a great explanation off her as to why she likes this, but she seems to play it an awful lot and it is her favourite game at the moment.

I have watched her play some of the puzzles, the difficulty seems to be pitched just right for her (I believe the Leappad adjusts the difficulty to her progress)(shades of "The Diamond Age" by Neal Stephenson and the interactive device called "A Young Lady's Illustrated Primer" which is crucial to the plot of that book)and would be the sort of educational puzzles I expected in a game like this.

The only criticism I have is that Scooby's voice does sound a bit like Yoda from the Star Wars films, but hey, is that really such a bad thing?!

I would recommend it for any child in the correct age range that likes Scooby Doo.

This is a good game for the age range. I have only marked it down by one star due to the longevity of the game ( a little short even for a childs game)

If you children like Scooby doo this is great - Nice one Leapfrog.

My four year old son has a few Leap Frog games and I bought this one as he likes Scooby Doo. It says a lot that after a few goes he hasn't gone back to it. Much too slow and repetitive.

    Good for scooby do fans.
However, my 4year old completed it quite quickly. Some extra levels would make this last a bit longer. You can wipe your memory and restart the game, which he has done.
He did really enjoy the game and will keep dipping back into it.

This is a great game my children both liked looking for the clues and playing the mini games but the food game had some american names instead of English so I had to explain this to my children, I guess that in it's self is educational though!
