Learning skills

Experience the excitement of visiting new places and meeting new people! Imagine all there is to learn when you dive into a new destination – the Bubble Guppies have new words and revelations to share with those who play along. Join Molly, Gil, Bubble Puppy, and Mr. Grouper on three exciting field trips – to Bubble City to learn about recycling, to a Dinosaur Dig to pick up fossil facts, and to the Puppy Park to discover an animal habitat.

Begin to categorise animals by species and pick up fun facts related to their diets and habitats. Learn about dinosaurs, their physical characteristics, and recognise that fossils reveal secrets about ancient life forms. Finally, learn about the benefits of recycling and conserving resources. This game helps build listening comprehension skills and is appropriate for children aged 3 to 5 years old.

The LeapFrog difference

LeapFrog has created a learning and play environment that is developmentally appropriate for the target age group. Children interact with screen-based games in ways all their own. Game functionality has been customised to include nursery age-friendly landscape orientation and intuitive horizontal scrolling, generous 'tap and touch' hot spots to accommodate developing fine motor skills, visually compelling and distinct interactive elements, and the delivery of instantaneous feedback with any child-screen interaction. Studies have shown the benefits of integrating content area learning and literacy learning – science and social studies topics provide natural contexts for building listening comprehension skills.

Innovative learning approach

Children can be a part of the Bubble Guppies learning environment, discovering social studies and science topics while nurturing their natural curiosity and inquisitiveness. Along the way, children build vocabulary and listening comprehension skills key to early reading as they learn about recycling, animal habitats, fossils, and people and places in the community.

Bubble Guppies Leappad Game 14 July 2013

My 4 year old really likes this game. She has sat and played it for quite a while, which is nice when I'm trying to keep her entertained at different appointments and such. I think the younger age range of 3-5 is nice b/c although she's very bright, sometimes the 4-7 are so advanced that she gets frustrated and won't play them. This is a nice game, I would recommend it.

I bought this game for my 4 year old son who loves the bubble guppies show. He sits and plays this game all the time. He was so excited when he finished a level all on his own with no help from me. He is learning a lot from this game.

Bubble Guppies Game 27 Dec. 2013

This game is great for my 23 month old as she doesnt want to let the leappad go when she plays this game! She didnt even know who the bubble guppies were before this game but its just that captivating for her that she knows them now. Its cute because it teaches her the importance of recycling and it also teaches her how to read maps and distinguish the different buildings while being lots of fun at the same time! Definitely recommend for the young minds just starting out in the tech world :-)
Hoping that games like this help our grandson to view science as interesting, rather than boring (as I did!) 11 April 2015

Cartoons sure have come a long way since my days! I love how so many of them use their programs to teach concepts to youngsters in such fun an interesting ways. Though I haven't watched too much of Nickelodeon, and had never heard of "Bubble Guppies", I thought it was so clever to develop a half dozen little "merpersons" (half person, half fish) who - in this game - learn together about things like animal habits, fossils, recycling, etc., and inviting our little folks to come along for the adventure! I really like how these games help develop a child's listening abilities.

And these Leap Frog games have been a godsend to me in terms of gift giving... our middle grandson has been so unlike the oldest when it comes to playtime. The "regular toys" we'd accumulated didn't hold his short attention span for long, even as a very small child. If it moved or made noise, great, otherwise you could pretty much forget about it! My younger son had purchased a Leap Pad tablet for his nephew last Christmas (which I'd never heard of, but that's no surprise as much of a dinosaur as I am!), so we'd put a couple of these games under the tree for him as well. Fortunately, we had him open the "regular toys" first, because once he got to the tablet and the games, it was all over! Seeing how happy he was with them, I went ahead and bought several more of these 3-5 year games - including this one - to wrap up for the coming Christmas (it seems Amazon's prices are pretty good - we paid $17.25 for this one - when you compare them to the $25 MSRP!)

When I see the word "science", it still sends shivers down my spine, since the math/science section of my brain never seemed to "work" when I was in school. Then again, I recall my science classes being pretty dry... I'm glad to see games like this that make subjects more approachable, because I'd love for my grandson to have a much different attitude toward them than I did. (My only concern is for teachers who have the challenge of teaching children who are used to being taught by colorful and fast-moving animation, once they get into the classroom!)
