Clear sound, great features 23 Jan 2009

I bought this monitor as it's made by LeapFrog and they have a really good reputation for product quality. I wasn't disappointed. This monitor is really easy to set up and you can hear and 'see' any sounds in the baby's room very clearly using the parent unit and its noise indication lights. You can even turn the sound down on the parent unit and just use the lights to monitor the room. The lullabies are very clear, not jangly at all, and you can set to 'Play all' for some gentle background music and even select/turn these on or off from the Parent unit if you want to. The display on both the baby monitor and the parent unit are very large and clear with big digits to show you the temperature and a backlight so that you don't have to turn the light on to see it. I've also used the torch on the parent unit and like the travel bag to keep everything together for when we go away.

Great Baby monitor 30 Jan 2009

This is the second Baby monitor I've had to buy since my Son was born.
Having looked at all the monitors offered at the moment I chose this model because it looks like a consumer product and not a cheap toy.
Straight out of the box it worked, and any set up via the on screen menu was easy.
The Parent unit feels very sturdy with the addition of the rubber grips.
The Parent unit also has full control over the Baby unit which means I dont have to go up to the room every 5 minutes to make adjustments to any of the settings. The Torch has also proved very usful late at night.
Overall I think this has been a great purchase which I would recomend to any first time parent.

After 3 monitors (previous 2 were faulty - Excellent customer service from amazon) we settled on this model because I couldn't be bothered to send it back yet again! Does cut out on occassions but only for a second or 2. Music and ability to talk to baby very good, nightlight although quite dim is good to search for dummies in the early hours! Quite annoying that at 16 or 17 degrees it bleeps to say the room is too cold even through all the guidance tells you the room should be between 16-18 degrees. Having said that I think looking at other reviews this is the best on the market at the minute.
