we got it as apresent for our 2nd bday, it has been nearly 3 mnths now, my son recognizes the letter and knows the ABC song. it is fantastic, and durable. still didn't break, although was trown out of the window couple of times:D

I bought this for my granddaughter who is three and already knows some letters and their sounds. She was very pleased with it as she likes to learn and plays with it quite often.

This arrived promptly. It has several different modes including a find the letter game and musical letters but unfortunately still fails to capture my 2 and a half year olds attention for very long. This may be due to his age though he is usually quite interested in learning. I remain hopeful that he will grow into it.
The build quality of this toy surprised me a little as I think it is quite flimsy considering it comes from such a reputable brand. I suspect it would not last very long if my boy had one of his tantrums and threw it across the room (as 2 year olds are prone to do). In particular the little dog character that slides along the top to select the mode doesnt feel as though it 'clicks' into place firmly enough and my boy spends most of his time sliding it rapidly to and fro; I wonder if the computer chip will eventually break or burn out as my mother always threatened it would when I did similar things with my toys?
Still, all this being said the toy is very educational and if your child engages with it he/she will benefit greatly. Perhaps its biggest failing is suggesting that it is suitable from 24 months; I would suggest 3 years old is nearer the mark. Mine will probably go into the cupboard and come out again in a few months time when he is more ready to spend time with it.
