Explains in a simple but effective way how to lead. Give great examples. I had the first edition - have bought a few and given them away to colleagues. New version is an improvement.

Blanchard in a book 12 Jan. 2011
By Chris Jordan - Published on Amazon.com

Imagine taking everything Ken Blanchard has ever written that was worth reading and put it in one book. That's what you have here. This is a gold mine. Regardless of who you lead (yourself, your family, your department, your company, your non-profit organization, your HOA, etc) this is the book for you!

Good info, too many plugs for his other books 27 Dec. 2011
By Cynthia R. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
There is tons of good information in this book, however I am baffled at the motives of the author(s) constantly referring/referencing/footnoting their own previously written books. In almost every chapter he refers to himself and co-authors in the third person ("As Ken Blanchard writes in ___ book".) It is very distracting to me and I can't determine if it is a shameless plug to sell you his other works or if it is some attempt at lending credibility to his point. If he wrote the previous book as an original idea, then he has no need to reference or quote himself. He makes excellent, thought-provoking points, but as Cynthia R. states in her book review, "Good info, too many plugs for his other books." (see how annoying that is)

Great download! 10 Aug. 2010

I also had no problems downloading the free version of the entire book on the kindle app for my droid phone. This is a great reference for training and leadership--everything from leading yourself, teams, companies, and learning how to coach others, as well as yourself. The authors of the Blanchard companies cover it all here!

Leadership must read. 2 Nov. 2013

I started reading this before I started a new job... was pleasantly surprised it's recommended reading for administrative positions. For those who want to take leadership (not to be confused with managing) to a new level.

Great leadership book 9 Jan. 2014

If more leaders practiced what is in this book, more companies would be successful, more consumers would be happy with the companies they do business with and more employees would love their jobs.
