I bought this as a makeweight in a 3 for £10, and now I can see why it was in there. Was inspired to write this review to stop others wasting my time. It's painful, condescending, trite, preachy, and patronizing. I read it on a day when I was sick and it didn't make me feel any better.
I can understand that everyone needs guidance at times, but are we so clueless in modern society, that we just cling to any old motto or soundbite? Nothing in this book is of any substance, and the soundbites are all pretty much common sense for anyone with morals, tarted up to make them seem grandiose and important.
I'd say time spent reading this book would be much more productively spent doing something that one enjoys, that leads one to one's goals. I think it should be called "You'll get really frustrated when you see how much money I can make out of hot air, as it goes against all the principles I teach" by Robin Sharma.
