2.0 out of 5 stars Lacks chords...frustrating idiosyncratic notation system 20 Feb 2013

The music does NOT give the chords.

Since Leadbelly lowered the pitch of his strings five half steps the author writes the music notation as it actually sounds. The problem is that if you are playing the TAB in standard tuning and need a vocal note, the vocal is given in a different key. Also the bass notes for the guitar part are in
Bass clef.

Overall frustrating to use and, without chords, you can't just strum and sing along.
