It would be easy to overlook this book in the sea of self-help. What sets it apart is that Mick Cope's style. It is much more understated than the rather badgering style that characterizes similar books from the USA. It also uses a wide range of thought provoking models to make sense of what's going on. It will appeal to reflective people that like to think before doing rather than relying on instinct. To get on with a book like this it has to match your own personal approach, and for me it worked exceedingly well.

This book is extremely thought provoking and I have personally found it inspirational. Mick Cope's 'Lead Yourself' helped me realise that I am the master of my own destiny.
By understanding what is important to me and applying it across my whole life, I am finding that I am becoming more satisfied and more accomplished, both within my home life as well as in the workplace.
Truly excellent use of examples, that almost everyone can relate to, help drive the points home. A REAL must..!!!

This book helps you to understand yourself. It embodies the excellent approach to coaching & development that Mick Cope so effectively uses in his books, and his face to face workshops. The bottom line is that you need to thoroughly understand yourself, and what makes yourself tick so that you can use & develop your own skills and abilities. Lead Yourself will really open your eyes to your true potential and will help you to form a solid foundation from which you can start to influence, coach and help others.
