Good CD but whats up with all these rappers 21 Dec 2000
By Nate - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This CD is just like Keith Sweats new solo CD "Didn't See Me Coming" (just recently released in November 2000). Like Keiths new CD, theres just too many rappers on this CD. Its a great idea to put some of the greatest R&B singers on here like Keith Sweat, Gerald Levert, and Johnny Gill. There are five songs on this CD that stand out, though. They are Door #1, Round & Round, My Body, Love Hurts, and Where Would We Go. Those songs don't have any rappers whatsoever and they are just pure, classic R&B. You will enjoy those songs if you buy this CD. The Side of My Bed is also a pretty good song, too. If you don't have this CD, please go get it.

The best R&B album not only of '98, but maybe of all time!! 3 Feb 2002
By E.J. Rupert - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
If you don't have this album, it's not too late to get it. There is not one wack track on this album, although the trendy "Let a Playa Get His Freak On" comes pretty close (but even that track can grow on you). Sure, you have the necessary superproducers on here (Puff, JD, Missy), but they do a good job with providing the group with solid material, which is good for Johnny Gill, who's recently had the problem on his solo albums with singing lackluster lyrics over boring instrumentals.
If there are any songs that are better than the others, they have to be the ones Gerald Levert wrote and produced ("Door #1", "Drove Me to Tears", and the standout, "My Side of the Bed"). And the fact that this album is under 60 minutes shows that Levert, Sweat and Gill can deliver the goods without the use of skits, medleys, interludes, or remixes of their songs on the same album.
Now if only we can get them to make another album to show these dumb boy bands like B2K and Ruff Endz how to do it...PLEASE? Come back, it's been four years!

Still a wonderful album from three hot R&B singers 26 Dec 2005
By Preston - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
LSG's first album from 1997 is still a wonderful album! I liked the collaborations with people such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, Faith Evans, Coko and others featured in the songs. But they smartly hold back and let Gerald Levert, Keith Sweat and Johnny Gill perform on here. I still love the No.1 hit, My Body, which I still hear to this day! Darrell Allamby created a very smooth ballad for them. Door #1 has this Let's Make a Deal kind of thing in its lyrics as each of the singers sing their verses in three parts of the song. After that is the smooth ballad Round and Round of which Johnny sounds the best on that one. Love Hurts is where Keith Sweat sounds the best and My Side of the Bed and All the Times are where Gerald Levert is at his best. While they went with people such as Puff Daddy, Ron Lawrence, Jermaine Dupri and others, Levert and Sweat produced an average of 3 to 4 songs each on this album. So this is more a group effort too more than just relying on outsiders. But the album has such strong singing from the trio while riding on the challenging urban sounds that dominate the album. I liked their funky numbers of You Got Me, Let a Player Get His Freak On and a remake of Midnight Star's Curious. Their main strength is on the ballads. If you missed out on this album in 1997, you need to get it now in 2005 and 2006! And while their second and last album flopped, this first one still holds up quite well today!

Sincerely, I can say that we should have met before today... 17 Mar 2000
By J. Highsmith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
When you take three of the best male voices in r&b how can you expect to get anything other than good results. Even though the CD is only 12 tracks long, LSG put together a classic CD. Anyone that likes good slow jams about love, lost love, and good memories of past relationships should have a copy of this CD. "All The Times" f/ Faith Evans, Coko, and Missy Elliott is definitely one of the best slow jams of the entire 1990s. Other highlights include "On My Side Of The Bed", "Drove Me To Tears", "Love Hurts" and the classic single "My Body". The slow jams are the best thing about this CD, but the uptempo songs are up to par as well. Hopefully there will one day be another LSG CD.

L.S.G................T.I.G.H.T! 20 April 2000
By I.B. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This cd from lsg is a tight combination of 3 of the best males in R+B. They made a good cd the first time around and had hlep from Puffy, Jd, and a few others. "My Body" and "Curious" are some tight cuts. The best slow jam on this album is the one with Coko/faith evans and Missy. On this song Missy shows u how much she can really sing. Of coarse everybody else blows this song and just make it tight. Overall this is good and if u didn't get it while they were out back then? ..then now might be a good time.
