Bought this for my 3 year old son. Within a few weeks the red plastic car ramps started to weaken where they attach to the wooden platforms. Shortly after they snapped making the ramps unrepairable. Very expensive for a poor design.

We got this garage for my son for Christmas. It looked beautiful once assembled but hasn't held up well since Christmas morning. Several of the decorative parts are only held on with small pegs and can easily be pulled off. Hence, almost all have been pulled off. The ramps do not screw on very tight and are not very durable. The lift is no longer sliding easily up and down so my boy can not operate it. He still enjoys playing with this and it is pretty but for the price it has not held up well and I would rather have bought him something else for the money.

This was the second garage I ordered for my son's birthday, as the first 'wooden garage' was 100% MDF and as it was from the US, did not meet uk and european MDF regulations. So after some more research I ordered this one. When it arrived i pulled it out of the box and was hit in the face by the familiar stench of factory fresh mdf. Admittedly some of the parts were made of wood, but the large platform parts were mdf and were left unsealed on the underside ( one small spill of a childs drink and it's all over as the mdf swells like cardboard.
As i'm sure you're aware mdf is made by combining waste wood dust and formaldehyde glue. All countries have different accetable formaldehyde levels and imported toys and furniture should be carefully researched.
As we don't agree with any level of formaldehyde glue being in our son's bedroom this garage was sent back like the last and the Le Plan garage, made from organic renuable ex latex producing rubberwood has been ordered.......It's a minefield out there!!!

Nice toy, tricky to assemble, but sturdy and fun
It is tricky to put together, but is still intact, and my son loves it. It is nicer than plastic, and is more durable. Looks good too.
