I loved this book! Great fish stories. I am from Chicago and travel to Wisconsin often to fly fish for trout. It's like deer camp for fly fishing. I would love to visit it someday!

What a delightful surprise about fishing, which is not my thing! I know the illustrator and decided to see what this book is about. It's one you can't put down because of the special connection with these fishermen and this place in central Wisconsin that brings them together. It's part nature, part psychology, part geography, part comedy, part tragedy, part mystery, part fantasy, but pure enjoyment. I may even take up fishing! This all took place less than an hour from my home. I have such great new appreciation for my corner of the world and for men who find their passion in this sport.

This is a wonderful compliation of short stories by a master story-teller. Chapralis captures the imagination of anglers world wide with the antics of a mouse, a hippo and truly speaks from the heart. I'm sorry he couldn't have autograhed my book.
