Very Disappointed. I expected perfection from Le Creucet. Good name...bad product. The lid does not close/open easily.
The water does not pour out of the spout....it spits, swears and literally throws a tantrum.
Next time I will go for a cheaper kettle.
I am still using this kettle.......although annoying at times, it does look good on my Range.

I love the Le Creuset range and had my eyes set on this kettle for a long while. Despite the less favorable reviews I went for it 8 months ago and till today I am still very happy.
It does not only look great, it does the job perfectly. I haven't had any problem with the whistle: it sounds sharp and cheerful and stays put. After use, discard the remaining water to avoid rusting, and my kettle still looks as new.

I loved the look of this kettle but it rusted on the base fairly quickly. I foolishly bought another slightly smaller le creuset stove top kettle thinking it was just a one off problem and sure enough within a year it too had rusted. It seems there is no remedy for this problem so I have just had to invest in yet another kettle, obviously NOT le creuset this time.

Very good value for money as I have seen it in a local shop in Derby for at least a third more. Kettle will be very good to use on top of a woodburning stove in the winter months
