A bit overpriced for a lid, maybe, but these complement the 30" Le Creuset wok perfectly. I can only presume that the other reviewer has recieved a fake - I've bought two of these (one for my girlfriend and one for my mother, but neither from Amazon as I found them cheaper elsewhere), both of which were clearly the real deal, coming in Le Creuset packaging and simply looking and feeling of a high quality. The only fault I can pick is the price, but even so, these are worth every penny.

I just recieved this lid yesterday and used it on a 30cm Le Creuset pan today. I was simply heating some curry in a Le Creuset pan on very low heat. After only 7 or so minutes I heard a loud BANG coming from my cooker, looked over and realised that the Le Creuset lid had cracked in a thousand small pieces, like a car windscreen. I tried to remove the lid so I could save the food, but the glass crumbled into our curry. I've phoned Le Creuset to find out what to do and they were very helpful but told me to find the NUMBER on the inside of the lid-handle. THere's no number on the lid handle, so I'm wondering whether this is actually not an authentic Le Creuset lid?! So disappointed!!!!!!!!!Le Creuset Toughened Glass Lid, 30 cm

well, who in the heck is going to pay more for a lid than the pan itself???? and one you can't see through ..so...it is a perfect fit to my 12" Cuisinart skillet...made well and a great price.
