We recommend using Le Creuset oven mitts for lifting hot dishes at all times. When using under a grill allow a gap between the rim of the dish and the heat source of no less than 6 ½ cm / 2 ½ inches. When using in a microwave handles may become hot during prolonged microwave use and especially if the handles are enclosed with cling film. Cover just the open top of the dish leaving the handles exposed. When using from the freezer to oven do not place a frozen dish of food in a pre-heated oven. Place the frozen dish in a cold oven and set the temperature, allowing the dish and oven to heat together. Before serving always check that the centre of the food is completely and uniformly hot.
Cleaning:
Before use wash the dish in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. For most day-to-day cleaning, cool the dish for a few minutes then wash and dry as above, or wash in the dishwasher, allowing the full cycle to complete. Never leave a dish fully immersed in water. For removal of stubborn residues allow the dish to cool, fill with warm soapy water and allow it to soak for 10 – 20 minutes. I've owned four of these for years and have recently added two more, there is no difference in colour despite how long ive had the previous four and how many times they've been used and washed.
Handy for so many things but we mainly use them for fancy baked sponge puddings or choc mousse.weve also used them for serving individual choc fondu for the kids and special meals.
although heavy i feel this is one of those " you get what you pay for " items.

Add a touch of romance to your cooking with this delightful little dish!
COLOUR: CERISE RED
Approximate capacity : 0.24L
Mine have 'LE CREUSET, France' embossed on the unglazed bases.
I serve a smooth chocolate mousse in mine. One friend does baked mini chocolate sponge puddings, with an alcoholic twist!
Another friend presents these dishes at engagement parties/wedding showers, romantically stacked with mini pink and white marshmallows!
Last night saw a dozen of these dishes packed with tri-coloured heart shaped pasta pieces, with an assortment of sauces to add in matching jugs, all stunningly set out on a crisp white tablecloth.
Full STONEWARE use/care instructions, on the outer cardboard sleeve.
A neat little dish, also available as a pair, in a lidded version and in BLUE, but the latter is now getting harder to find.
Le Creuset STONEWARE dishes cannot be used on direct heat and a removable sticker indicates this.

I pondered this but it is a dawdle - try an individual chocolate sponge with chunks of Cadbury's chocolate in the middle!
Easy to use, easy to clean - just pop it in the dishwasher!
No fading to the colour - look our for the blue one, too - my personal favourite, but increasingly hard to find!
