Hygienic
The smooth enamelled surface is scratch resistant and makes for fast, easy cleaning. The totally hygienic cooking surface will not absorb odours or flavours. Perfect for storing foods (raw or cooked) in the refrigerator or freezer. Will clean easily by hand or by dishwasher if used in accordance with our care and use.
Adaptability and Versatility
Baking, roasting, storage, or preparation, Le Creuset has a Stoneware dish to do the job. Easy to hold, sure grip handles, knobs and rims. Le Creuset is available in a wide range of colours that match our cast iron range and are equally at home in the kitchen or on your dining table.
Stoneware Care and Use
Do not use any piece on cooker hobs or any other direct heat source. When in the oven a maximum oven temperature of 260 degrees Celsius or 500 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend using Le Creuset oven mitts for lifting hot dishes at all times. When using under a grill allow a gap between the rim of the dish and the heat source of no less than 6 ½ cm /2 ½ inches. When using in a microwave handles may become hot during prolonged microwave use and especially if the handles are enclosed with cling film. Cover just the open top of the dish leaving the handles exposed. When using from the freezer to oven do not place a frozen dish of food in a pre-heated oven. Place the frozen dish in a cold oven and set the temperature, allowing the dish and oven to heat together. Before serving always check that the centre of the food is completely and uniformly hot.
Do not add any liquids to a stoneware dish whilst hot in the oven. This could cause potential damage to the dish. Should you need to add liquids during the cooking process, remove the stoneware dish from the oven, allow it to stand for a few minutes, before adding either warm or ambient liquids.
