I have these "bean pots" (soup bowls/mini-casserole dishes) in granite as that matches my kitchen but I'll soon be buying some more in different colours as I'd like to have a full set to entertain a large group. I've used them to serve soup in (i.e. cooked in a pan and then just served in the pots) and also to cook individual casseroles in. When cooking for one, getting the portions right can be a pain, but with these, I just make a bunch of mini-casseroles in these (e.g. 1 lamb shank in each pot), cook them right through, cool them down and then freeze them. I can then take them out of the freezer at a later date, pop them into a cold oven and heat them up and then eat from the same pot - how great is that? They look beautiful and sit proudly on my shelf along with their big brother, the 4L bean pot.

these elegant, lidded STONEWARE soup bowls/bean pots, from Le Creuset, in the colour - GRANITE GREY.
Supplied in pairs, each with an approximate capacity of 0.5L, measuring approximately:-
6 cm unglazed base, gradually swelling out and then gently tapering back to 10 cm at the top.
Comfortable side handles and an easy to grasp knob on the lid.
(My later models are slightly less curvaceous than my earlier ones!)
These dishes are simply the perfect serving dishes to ladle in my 'Scotch Broth'.
The lids help to keep the contents hot as they travel the short distance to the dining room!
Served with a piece of warm buttered bread....simply delicious!
Or......when time is really at a premium in my house and there is only me......one dish is the perfect size for a tin of my favourite Baxters soup!
Equally useful for an individual casserole.
Sturdily boxed and supplied in a LE CREUSET cardboard sleeve incorporating STONEWARE care/use instructions, this stylish pair currently come in a variety of colours, including:-
VOLCANIC ORANGE
BLACK (Matt)
ALMOND (aka DUNE)
BLUE (Graded Shades)
CERISE RED (Graded Shades)
and in a larger 3.8L version.
n.b. LE CREUSET STONEWARE dishes cannot be used ON direct heat, and a removable sticker indicates this.

These pots are beautifull and make soup taste even better.The price was a bargain,though it only applys to the black pots.
