Ceramic Baking Beans prevent blistering and shrinkage and are especially helpful in making pies and pastry dishes. They are completely heat resistant and are re-usable.
The runny fillings of many flans and tarts will stop the pastry base cooking crisply, so spoiling its texture and taste. This can be overcome by baking the pastry case empty before putting in the filling.
Whether you are baking a lemon meringue pie, tart or a fruit flan, enjoy a crisp pastry case by baking blind using Ceramic Baking Beans.

I have been looking for beans for a while and love the Le Creuset brand. The beans are sturdy and do the job that I require them for. The tub is durable and appears like it will last a while without me having to transfer to another pot. Postage was quick and I would reccommend this product.

I bought these beads because they are from a very reputable brand, they arrived on time although one of the tubs was burst wide open, the beads inside were all ok, just the tub was burst from the bottom of the tub.
I have since used both tubs of beads and found them very good and effective even though a little small but this does not detract from their performance as baking beads. I would use the seller again but just hope they use better packaging for this product.

rubbish, waste of money, using a piece of cling film weighed down with rice over your tart or whatever works just as good
