Le Creuset stuff is amazingly hard wearing - but it definitely isn't the cheapest.
I got this pan to complement an existing set of smaller Le Creuset pans, when it was offered for half the normal price by Amazon for a few days.
These pans are excellent for all kinds of cooking, however at their full price I'm not sure I could ever bring myself to buy them. There are though, many offers available if you keep your eyes open.
as an example of how long they can last, my grandmother was given some Le Creuset pans as a wedding present in the 1930s. I can remember her using them daily whenever I visited her. She then handed them down to my sister & they continue to be used regularly. There aren't many things made nowadays that are likely to last for over 70 years of use.
Bear in mind that the description of this item says that it is 27cm wide - it is in fact 27cm long.
